Hi

We have been paying extra on or mortgage for nearly 2 years, however when we contacted redstone to find out how long our mortgage has to run we were given the orginal date of redemtion. Is this right?

In 1986 we took out an endowment mortgage from Lloyds TSB Bank, the total sum assured was 19170.00, and we paid our mortgage off early, which was in 1996.

Lloyds TSB Bank did not explain what would happen if we paid off our mortgage early and Lloyds TSB Bank did not explain that there was a risk the policy will not pay off our mortgage.

In 2005 we contacted Lloyds TSB Bank because we felt our endowment policy was missold to us.
My husband and I accepted £2,068.12 from Lloyds TSB and we redeem our standard life policy for £5,120.00. The reason why we could not complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service was because we had family commitments abroad.

There were exceptional circumstances for our delay in following up our complaint.

I was sold a M.R.P about 10 years ago and in 2004 I was in hospital for a major opp, I was told my M.R.P would cover my mortgage payments but found out there was a short fall and I had to top up my mortgage payment, when I asked why the short fall I was informed I need to check with the bank every few months does my M.R.P cover the whole of my morg, this left me paying my M.R.P every month and topping up my mortgage payments every month while I was off sick. What do I need to do now ?

Hi Ian,

It is possible to claim and I would invite you to complete our short contact form and one of our trained advisors will get the ball rolling for you with no upfront fees. Thanks for your comment.

This was a really quality post.Thank you for taking the time to provide such a great and informative article. It has given me lots of inspiration. In theory I'd like to write something like this as well - taking time and real effort to make a good article... but what can I say... I appreciate a lot and never seem to get anything done

I had ppi insurance added to my loan and i did not notice this, it was not discussed with me at the time, i only noticed it when the loan had nearly finished and put it down to me not reading the form carefully and my loss. This loan was taken out in March 1999 for a period of 5 years, in view of the 12 year gap is it still possible for me to claim?

Bought council house via HADENGLEN. Remortgaged 3 times and each time was put on higher rate and always always charged £2000 in fees. I eventually lost my house through repossession and have just found out about their bad practices. I want to claim back!!!!!
